why is gold so cheap at jc penny's?

Main Post:

I've been looking around for a gold rope chain and noticed that jcpenneys chains are significantly cheaper than anywhere else.

For example https://www.jcpenney.com/p/made-in-italy-18k-gold-20-inch-solid-singapore-chain-necklace/ppr5008097762?pTmplType=regular&deptId=dept20000020&catId=cat100240093&rrplacementtype=pdp4_jrecs&criteriaName=Recently%20Viewed%20Items

This 18k chain is $650, similar chains on other sites go up to 2-4k. It says solid not plated and there's really no other information about the necklace itself.

Top Comment: It doesn’t give the weight so you don’t know what you are paying for.

Ways to make gold with JC?

Buying uncut gems and cutting them can get you some good results, obviously server dependant.

Which generates more gold, mining and JC or herb and alch?

Main Post:

Assuming you have 375 each with epic flying.

Top Comment:

This is pretty server reliant, and JC you need epic patterns/gems from BT. Herb/alch is more about the daily xmutes for easy gold, but your mana/haste/flask community might be pretty solid.

Mining/jc is a lot more luck reliant if you're prospecting your own ore.

Best gold making profession?? Cata, Alch or JC??

Main Post:

Ok hear me out. Ive searched on so many forums for the answer but mfs dont know how to give a straight answer, or are just biased, etc. I have a minign and herbalism alt, and another with blacksmithing and alchemy. I was told alchemy will always be a good option for profit in any expansion, with JC being a good alternative, but not as good as alchemy, so I went with that. Also alchemy is apparently better for raiding in cata. Cool. so I leveled BS far more than Alch so far, so it's not like i invested too much yet. 260 BS, 140 Alch.

However. Just now, I was curious and looked up the cost of elixirs and potions etc. And bro they barely sel for anything?? like potions selling for less than 2g (draught of war) elixir at like 5g.... but gems at like 45-50g?? Did i mess up?? Should is witch to JC???
I do kinda care about performance,, but if it's like a minimal difference between the two, but one makes way more gold, id rather do that.. So waht do yall think? Honestly, and proven, which would be a better gold making profession that will last and doesnt take too much effort?? I already enjoy farming ores and herbs so that's not a big deal. but ye

Top Comment: Alchemy, at least on my server, will actually lose you gold unless you specifically craft inside your chosen mastery (potion, elixir or transmute) and even then the return is rng based off procs of extra crafts. End game gems at the moment are really cheap too. Like as expensive as they were in TBC on my server. This could change once epic gems release though.

How does the JC playz gold farm work?

Main Post:

I'm a player that recently moved to bedrock edition and confused on how the actual heck do zombie piglins just "appear" on the overworld portal without loading chunks inside. I've tried to build this in a super flat but no zombie piglins come out. please explain....

JC tips for TWW

Main Post:

I started doing professions seriously in DF and it wasn't until late season 2 that I actually started trying to make gold. I found great success making regular money prospecting ore, and also crafting medallions. When I initially leveled JC I specialized into gem cutting which didn't really net a lot of gold. I think there was too much time needed spamming in trade chat. When I started prospecting, ore was reasonably cheap whereas it would have been pricey at the beginning of the xpac (but diamond were like 40k each) so not sure if it would have been a good money maker.

I would love to hear what specialization people think will be a good money maker for JC in TWW.

(I'm also going to drop mining and pick up BS for TWW if anyone has BS tips)

Top Comment: All of it will make money, I'm positive on that. What we really don't know is, what your server economy is going to be like, and what you're willing to do to make that money. Just because something can make a lot of gold, doesn't mean it'll be a compelling market for an individual, or a server.
